Kings trade for Anthony Stewart

LOS ANGELES -- The Kings have acquired forward Anthony Stewart from the Carolina Hurricanes along with their 2013 fourth-round draft pick and 2014 sixth-round pick in exchange for forward Kevin Westgarth.

Stewart, 28, has played in 262 career NHL games with the Hurricanes, Atlanta Thrashers and Florida Panthers and has recorded 71 points and 123 penalty minutes.

Kings president and general manager Dean Lombardi announced the trade Sunday morning.
