Scott Elbert has elbow surgery

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Scott Elbert had elbow surgery for the second time in five months, the team announced Wednesday.

Dodgers orthopedist Neal ElAttrache found and repaired a new area of cartilage damage in Elbert's elbow during a 40-minute arthroscopic procedure Wednesday. Elbert will begin physical therapy in a few days and start a throwing program in about six weeks, the team said.
