Mike Richards out for Game 2

CHICAGO -- The Los Angeles Kings were without one of their key players for Game 2 of the Western Conference finals Sunday night, as center Mike Richards was out with what the team termed an upper-body injury.

It's the first game all year Richards has missed. He was rocked by a thunderous check late in Game 1 Saturday night by Chicago's Dave Bolland, a hit that seemed to leave Richards dazed.

Richards did not speak to the media after the game.
