Shoulder surgery for Matt Kemp

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp will undergo a left shoulder surgery Tuesday, the team announced.

Kemp, who was ruled out of the postseason due to an ankle injury, is expected to be ready for spring training.

The surgery is a cleanup of his left A-C joint, the same shoulder he had major surgery on last offseason after injuring himself running into the outfield wall in Colorado.
