NEW YORK -- The mayor of New York City sang "I Love L.A." on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday night to settle a Stanley Cup bet.

Mayor Bill de Blasio also treated the studio audience in Los Angeles to New York City hot dogs.

He made the hockey bet with Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.

De Blasio appeared via satellite from Times Square and was joined by New York City's 52nd Street Project student chorus, all of whom wore black T-shirts reading "I Love L.A."

Garcetti, as well as members of the Los Angeles Kings, joined the late-night host in his Los Angeles studio.

The Kings won the Stanley Cup on home ice Friday night with a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
