In a spectacular 1962 at age 23, Davis ripped still-standing Dodgers records of 230 hits and 153 RBIs, batting .346 to lead the NL, the first of two consecutive hitting titles. A broken ankle in '65 derailed what many thought would be a 3,000-hit career.
