Icebreakers: Brad Banks
ESPN The Magazine

BRAD BANKS, QB, Iowa

FAVORITE BOOK: The Bible, especially Psalms. I read it for inspiration when things are good and when things aren't so good. It's the kind of thing that always fits. I read Psalms daily.

Brad Banks
Brad could always be one intimidating travel agent.
MUST SEE TV: I like to watch that Discovery Channel show on the top 10 vacation spots in the world. I like to get ideas about my future vacations, especially beach vacations. And of course, there's Martin re-runs. I have to catch Martin every night.

MOST FREQUENT COMPLAINT: I wish I could sleep more. With my schedule, I struggle to get shut eye. It seems like I can never get more than 5 or 6 hours, and I'd like to get about 12. I could never get too much sleep.

BEST CLASS: Zulu. I didn't want to take Spanish like everybody else. I wanted to branch out, so I decided to try a South African language. I'm now in my third semester, so I'm getting the hang of writing and speaking it. I haven't met any Africans who speak it yet, but hopefully I'll get to South Africa soon and test out my skills.

CD ON REPEAT: I have a hip hop CD that my homeboys mixed for me. It has a lot of tracks from Cam'ron's "Hey Ma!" album.

MOST DARING MOMENT: Growing up in Florida, I didn't really realize the danger of alligators. I was about 13, and I was outside hanging out, and I just decided to pick up an alligator and take it home. I carried it back to my house, but it didn't stay there long. I guess that was kinda crazy.
