Notre Dame using grid for good

September, 7, 2006
Notre Dame coach Mike Brey doesn't need to do much with his recruits this weekend. All he has to do is ensure that they get on campus and then let them loose with his players.

The Irish have one of the best football weekend environments and Brey is going to take advantage of the next two high-profile games, against Penn State and Michigan, in South Bend.

The Irish have a shot to land one of their better recruiting classes. Jon Leuer, a 6-9 forward from Long Lake, Minn. who was one of the surprises of the summer recruiting scene, will take his official visit along with fellow Minnesotan, 6-3 guard Blake Hoffarber of Minnetonka. Louisville, Wisconsin, Iowa, Indiana and West Virginia have been hot after Leuer while Louisville, Vanderbilt, Rutgers and Minnesota are pursuing Hoffarber.
