ESPN.com's Power Rankings: Feb. 4

Week:

Indiana has taken over the top spot in this week's Power Rankings thanks to a victory over Michigan, the previous No. 1, on Saturday night.

The Hoosiers have won five in a row and received 13 first-place votes from ESPN.com's voters.

Florida, which has dominated its opponents in winning 10 straight games, moved up one spot to No. 2. The Gators earned the remaining five first-place votes from our panel.

The Wolverines fell from the top spot to No. 3, while Duke and Kansas round out the top five.

Newcomers to this week's rankings include Pittsburgh (No. 18), Minnesota (21), Oklahoma State (22), Marquette (23) and VCU (25).

3	Michigan 20-2	2 Last Week: 1	411	Trey Burke's 25-point effort wasn't enough to help Michigan avoid its first loss since Jan. 13. But with upcoming matchups against Ohio State, Wisconsin and Michigan State, the Wolverines don't have any time to pout.
4	Duke 19-2	2 Last Week: 6	383	Sure, the Blue Devils' 27-point road loss to Miami on Jan. 23 was embarrassing. But they have defeated their past three opponents, including Florida State on Saturday, by an average of 14.7 points.
5	Kansas 19-2	3 Last Week: 2	371	The Jayhawks had won 101 out of 102 and 33 in a row at the Phog before Saturday's loss to Oklahoma State. Turnovers (15 against the Pokes) have been a problem for Kansas (13.9 per game, third in the Big 12).
6	Gonzaga 21-2	1 Last Week: 7	341	The Zags have won four consecutive games since their Jan. 19 loss at Butler. Gonzaga doesn't have an equal in the West Coast Conference and could realistically enter the conference tourney without a loss in league play.
7	Arizona 19-2	1 Last Week: 8	329	The Wildcats have won three in a row since suffering a Jan. 24 home loss to UCLA. They're tied with Oregon atop the Pac-12 with a 7-2 record in conference play.
8	Louisville 18-4	1 Last Week: 9	308	The Cards have tried to put last month's three-game losing skid behind them with a two-game winning streak. They forced 17 turnovers and held Marquette to a 3-for-13 clip from the 3-point line in a 19-point win on Sunday.
9	Miami (FL) 17-3	4 Last Week: 13	303	With Saturday's road win at NC State, Miami has positioned itself to become the first ACC squad to secure road wins this season over NC State, North Carolina and Duke. The Canes face Duke at Cameron Indoor on March 2. Miami has won nine consecutive games.
10	Syracuse 18-3	5 Last Week: 5	300	Cuse continues to struggle without James Southerland. The Orange shot 3-for-14 from beyond the arc in Saturday's road loss to Pitt -- its ninth loss in 11 tries against the Panthers.
11	Michigan St 18-4	1 Last Week: 10	280	The Spartans have won seven of eight games, including last week's victory over Illinois, and are still in the hunt for the Big Ten title. Michigan State is ranked 20th in adjusted defensive efficiency, according to Ken Pomeroy.
12	Ohio St 17-4	2 Last Week: 14	263	The Buckeyes haven't received the same buzz as Michigan and Indiana -- or even Michigan State. But that could change this week when they play Michigan in Ann Arbor on Tuesday and the Hoosiers in Columbus on Sunday.
13	Creighton 20-3	5 Last Week: 18	191	The Bluejays lead the nation in field goal accuracy (52 percent). Their 75-58 win over Bradley on Saturday was their third consecutive victory.
14	Butler 18-4	4 Last Week: 10	175	The Bulldogs recovered from last week's 17-point loss to Saint Louis with a win against Rhode Island. That loss to the Billikens, however, proved that the Atlantic 10 is not just a two-team race between Butler and VCU.
15	Kansas St 17-4	6 Last Week: 21	165	The Wildcats have won two consecutive games and 10 of their past 12. They're a legit Big 12 contender because of a scoring defense (60.5 ppg allowed) that's No. 1 in the conference.
16	Cincinnati 18-4	4 Last Week: 20	156	The Bearcats' six-point victory over Seton Hall on Saturday was their fifth win in six games. They have one of the top defensive units in America (15th in adjusted defensive efficiency per Ken Pomeroy), but their offense continues to have issues (64.2 PPG in Big East play, 11th in the league).
17	New Mexico 19-3	2 Last Week: 19	150	Not exactly sure how Steve Alford's team registered just 34 points in a loss to San Diego State last week. But the Lobos have won their past two, and with a defense that's ranked 20th in adjusted efficiency per Ken Pomeroy, they're certainly capable of earning another Mountain West title.
18	Pittsburgh 18-5	8 Last Week: NR	104	The Panthers did not "upset" Cuse on Saturday. They have a top-20 BPI, they were favored in the game, and they've defeated Syracuse in nine of their past 11 matchups.
19	Georgetown 16-4	6 Last Week: 25	101	The Hoyas have won four consecutive games, a stretch that includes wins over Notre Dame and Louisville. Their defense (fifth in adjusted defensive efficiency per Ken Pomeroy) has balanced an offense that's ranked 13th in the Big East (61.1 PPG).
20	Oregon 18-4	8 Last Week: 12	89	The Ducks are hurting without guard Dominic Artis (foot injury). They've lost two of three games without him, including Saturday's 58-54 loss at Cal -- Oregon's 10th consecutive setback to the Bears.
21	Minnesota 17-5	5 Last Week: NR	74	Austin Hollins' crucial 3-pointer near the end of the Gophers' Sunday home win over Iowa was a major boost; the Gophers recently snapped a four-game losing streak. Now, having won two straight, they'll take some momentum into this week's road game against Michigan State.
22	Oklahoma St 15-5	NEW Last Week: NR	66	The Pokes earned their first road win over a top-5 team in more than 50 years when they beat Kansas at the Phog on Saturday. It was their third consecutive win and a sign that they're clearly talented enough to compete with any squad in the league.
23	Marquette 15-5	3 Last Week: NR	62	The Golden Eagles suffered a 19-point loss at Louisville on Sunday. They committed 17 turnovers and went 3-for-13 from beyond the arc in the loss.
24	NC State 16-6	9 Last Week: 15	54	The Wolfpack have caught a few bad breaks in their past two games. They lost Lorenzo Brown 10 minutes into last week's loss at Virginia, and on Saturday, against Miami, a Reggie Johnson tip-in with 0.8 left to play led to another defeat.
25	VCU 18-5	1 Last Week: NR	44	The Rams fell from the rankings after back-to-back losses to La Salle and Richmond. But they're still on top of the Atlantic 10 after winning their last two matchups.
