Mussini pours in a season-high 24 points

SJU's Federico Mussini cuts to the bucket, receives a dime from Yankuba Sima and drops in the And-1 floater in the Johnnies' 100-93 win over Chaminade. Bill Walton was impressed.

Ben Simmons' highlight reel

He may only be a freshman, and the season may be less than a month old, but the LSU phenom has easily made enough great plays to star in his own highlight reel.

Missed dunk shatters backboard

Dontavious Smith went NBA Jam on this backboard at UMass Lowell. The proof that he wasn't actually a character that was "on fire"? He missed.

Kansas' Cheick Diallo cleared to play

The Jayhawks freshman can play in the school's Dec. 1 game, the NCAA announced today after concluding a look into his eligibility, including international transcripts. NCAA executive VP of regulatory affairs called it a "complicated case." Story

Jeff Goodman @GoodmanESPN

Ruling from NCAA -- per Diallo's lawyer - was that he received impermissible benefits resulting in 5-game suspension.

Cheick Diallo will immediately be one of the best rebounders in the country -- with a motor matched by very few players in college hoops.

NCAA rules on some of Syracuse appeals of sanctions today (Boeheim 9 game suspension still pending appeal): Got back one scholarship per year over next 4. So total loss is now 8, not 12. Also got reduction of financial penalty by $1.23 million.

Jeff Borzello ESPN Staff Writer

Syracuse's NCAA appeal has resulted in gaining back one scholarship per year. Instead of being penalized three scholarships over each of the next four years, they will lose two scholarships over each the next four years. What this means for Syracuse's recruiting is the Orange now have one scholarship remaining for the 2016 class. They had slowed their recruiting after reeling in ESPN 100 prospects Tyus Battle and Matt Moyer, but are considered the leader for ESPN 100 big man Taurean Thompson.
