Temple has likely lost sixth man Daniel Dingle for the season, as the sophomore will need arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee, the school said Wednesday.

The 6-foot-7 Dingle, brother of former UMass standout Dana Dingle, suffered the injury in practice Sunday.

Dingle is averaging 6.7 points in 20 minutes per game but was coming off consecutive double-digit contests against LIU-Brooklyn and Texas Southern.

Temple (5-5) opens American Athletic Conference play at Rutgers on Wednesday night.
