SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- Transfer center Chier Ajou has enrolled at Seton Hall.

The Big East school announced on Wednesday that the 7-foot-2 center, who played at Northwestern, is taking classes for the spring semester. The native of South Sudan must complete two semesters of academic residency before playing for Seton Hall. He has 2½ years of eligibility remaining.

Ajou is the fifth newcomer for the Pirates' 2014-15 season. He joins fellow New York Metropolitan-area players Isaiah Whitehead, Angel Delgado, Khadeen Carrington and Ismael Sanogo.

Ajou played in eight games over the last two seasons for Northwestern, receiving a NCAA medical redshirt waiver in 2012-13.
