Caris LeVert ruled out again for Michigan against Maryland

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan guard Caris LeVert sat out the Wolverines' 70-67 win over No. 3 Maryland on Tuesday night because of a lower left leg injury.

LeVert, Michigan's top scorer, did not suit up and is missing his third straight game. The 6-foot-7 senior is averaging 17.6 points and shooting 45 percent from 3-point range.

LeVert took the court with his teammates before the game and stood near midcourt but did not participate in warmups.

The matchup with Maryland is part of a tough, three-game stretch for the Wolverines. With LeVert out, Michigan lost 87-70 at Purdue on Thursday. After facing Maryland, the Wolverines play Sunday at No. 16 Iowa.
