Temple guard Trey Lowe sidelined following one-car accident

PHILADELPHIA -- Temple freshman guard Trey Lowe is likely to miss the remainder of the season because of injuries suffered in a one-car accident early Sunday morning.

Lowe is receiving medical care for upper body injuries at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, the school said in a prepared statement Tuesday.

"I visited Trey and his family on both Sunday and Monday at the hospital," Temple head coach Fran Dunphy said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time, and we are hopeful that he will make a full recovery."

A native of Ewing, New Jersey, Lowe has played in all 28 games this season, starting five. He is the Owls' sixth-leading scorer at 4.8 points per game. He scored a career-high 21 points against then-No. 1 Villanova on Feb. 17.
