KANSAS CITY -- Senior center Cameron Ridley saw his first action in three months when he entered the first half of Texas' Big 12 tournament quarterfinal matchup against Baylor on Thursday.
Ridley, who hadn't played since Dec. 19 because of a foot injury, was cleared earlier this week but was listed as a game-time decision by coach Shaka Smart.
He scored two points in two minutes of game action in Texas' 75-61 loss, missing his only shot from the field and going 2-for-2 from the free throw line.
Ridley was averaging 12.7 points and 10.0 rebounds per game before his injury. He entered the season as a key piece in Smart's plans to rebuild at Texas.
The Longhorns finished 11-7 in the Big 12 and 12-8 overall without Ridley in the lineup. In his absence, Prince Ibeh blossomed for a Texas team that is positioned to secure a berth in the NCAA tournament.
