Wake Forest has suspended center Ty Walker and forward Melvin Tabb indefinitely for a violation of departmental rules, coach Jeff Bzdelik announced Monday.

Walker scored 3.6 points a game with 3.5 rebounds in his junior season last year. He started nine games for the Demon Deacons.

Tabb was dismissed from the team Feb. 8 for the remainder of last season for conduct detrimental to the team. He averaged 1.6 points and 2.0 rebounds in fewer than nine minutes per game as a freshman. He played in 14 games and was held out of four games at the end of the fall semester for academic reasons.

He missed part of preseason practice last year with mononucleosis.
