HAMDEN, Conn. -- Quinnipiac basketball coach Tom Moore has signed a contract extension through the 2015-16 season.

The contract was announced Monday. Terms were not disclosed.

Moore led the Bobcats to a 22-10 record in 2010-11 and took Quinnipiac to a school-record 23 victories in 2009-10. The Bobcats won their first Northeast Conference regular season championship and national postseason tournament berth.

In 2007, Moore became the sixth men's basketball coach in Quinnipiac history and the Bobcats' second coach at the Division I level.

He was previously a member of the coaching staff at the University of Connecticut for 13 years.
