Report: Jamaal Franklin accused of DUI
San Diego State sophomore guard Jamaal Franklin was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on campus, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.
Franklin, 20, came off the bench in 22 games as a freshman for an Aztecs team that advanced to the Sweet 16 and won a split Mountain West Conference championship. The 6-foot-5 Franklin is the team's third-leading returning scorer after averaging 2.9 points and is expected to see his role increase while providing athleticism at the wing position.
Coach Steve Fisher was aware of the incident, a school spokesman confirmed.
