Draymond Green day to day
Green had an MRI Wednesday morning. The Spartans (No. 10 ESPN/USA Today, No. 9 AP) play Sunday against Michigan (No. 22, No. 23).
Green injured his knee late in the second half of Tuesday's 42-41 loss to Illinois. The Spartans (17-5, 6-3 in the Big Ten) were ahead 38-37 when he got hurt.
Green, who spent the last 10:56 of the first half on the bench with three fouls, finished with five points and eight rebounds in 16 minutes.
He is averaging 14.9 points and 10.3 rebounds, and is second on the team in assists (3.5). He leads in blocked shots (1.1) and steals (1.5).
After the game, Green tweeted an update on the injury.
"I serve The Awesome God knee will be fine Michigan in Sunday... Thanks for everyone's thoughts and prayers they are greatly appreciated," Green tweeted.
