WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest senior center Ty Walker has been suspended for the rest of the season.
Coach Jeff Bzdelik said Friday that Walker violated an unspecified athletic department policy for players.
The move ends the college career of one of the last players recruited by the late coach Skip Prosser, who died in 2007.
Walker, a 7-footer, started 13 of the 20 games he played this season and averaged 4.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.6 blocked shots.
He was held out of the first nine games this season after school officials said he violated the university's student code of conduct.
Bzdelik says Walker remains scheduled to graduate in May.
