Michael Gbinije to join Syracuse

Duke freshman Michael Gbinije will transfer to Syracuse, the Orange announced Friday.
Gbinije, who played in 19 games at Duke and averaged 1.7 points, will sit out next season.
Syracuse assistant Adrian Autry was the 6-foot-7 Gbinije's AAU coach.
Gbinije played at the 2011 Jordan Brand Classic with current Syracuse players Rakeem Christmas and Michael Carter-Williams. He also played in the 2010 Nike Global Challenge with Syracuse freshman Trevor Cooney.
