OLEAN, N.Y. -- St. Bonaventure coach Mark Schmidt signed a contract extension Wednesday with the school that will keep him in the fold through 2018-19.
Schmidt led the Bonnies in March to their first Atlantic 10 tournament title and their first NCAA tournament berth since 2000.
"Mark and his staff have done a terrific job with the program on the court, in the classroom, on campus and in the community," athletic director Steve Watson said. "We look forward to their continued success."
St. Bonaventure defeated Xavier, 67-56, in the Atlantic 10 final in Atlantic City, N.J., before losing to Florida State in the second round of the NCAA tournament, 66-63, in Nashville, Tenn. The Bonnies finished 20-12.
