LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. -- Rider has named Kevin Baggett its new men's basketball coach.
Broncs athletic director Don Harnum announced the appointment Thursday at roughly the same time former coach Tommy Dempsey was named the new coach at Binghamton.
Baggett spent the past four seasons as Rider's associate head coach. He has 16 years of coaching experience at the Division I level, with the last six at Rider. In those six seasons, Rider posted 111 wins.
Dempsey coached Rider for seven seasons and guided the Broncs to national postseason tournaments in three of the past five years. His teams averaged 17 wins during his tenure.
