SEATTLE -- Center Gilles Dierickx will transfer from Florida International to Washington and be eligible for the 2013-14 season.
Washington announced the 6-foot-11 Dierickx's transfer on Monday. He will have three years of eligibility remaining after sitting out next season due to NCAA transfer rules.
Dierickx played sparingly for Florida International last season, appearing in 29 games and starting 15. He averaged 2.6 points and 2.2 rebounds. Dierickx was born in Belgium, but moved to the United States while he was in high school. He attended West Hills Chaminade in West Hills, Calif., for his final two years of high school.
