AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State senior guard Chris Babb has been suspended three games for violating team rules.
Cyclones coach Fred Hoiberg says Babb won't play in Sunday's exhibition against Minnesota State Mankato or in regular season games against Southern and Alabama A&M.
Hoiberg declined to further discuss why Babb was suspended.
Babb started all 34 games for Iowa State in 2011, averaging 7.8 points and 4.1 rebounds. Babb is also considered among the best defenders in the Big 12.
Babb will be eligible to return against Campbell on Nov. 18.
