Terps Trimble-ing while waiting for Melo

If Melo Trimble keeps his name in the NBA draft it could be a backbreaker for Maryland. Two of its starters graduated, while two more signed with agents. Trimble is the lone pillar from last season's squad who could return to College Park. Draft decisions that could change CBB (Insider)

Forward Diamond Stone, who averaged 12.5 points and 5.4 rebounds in his freshman season for the Terrapins, is expected to be a first-round pick. Meanwhile, guard Melo Trimble, who averaged 14.8 points per game and 4.9 assists, will not hire an agent.

Terps shaping up for impressive 2016-17

Maryland will lose seniors Rasheed Sulaimon and Jake Layman. They will probably also lose center Diamond Stone. But if Melo Trimble returns to the mix and the Terrapins' incoming top-10 freshmen perform, this could be a dominant team. Way-Too-Early Top 25

At what point does Melo Trimble need to stop taking 3s? He's at 1-for-7 from 3 point range to go with 1-6 vs Hawaii and 0-4 vs South Dakota State in the tournament. He's able to get to the rim, he should be driving the ball more.

Rasheed Sulaimon between free throws told Robert Carter "We gotta get stops." That's precisely what the Terps haven't been able to figure out this half. The Jayhawks, mainly Perry Ellis, getting any shot they want.
