Pels should upgrade defense and depth

Malcolm Brogdon may be the best wing defender in the draft, and Jarrod Uthoff would be an upgrade off the bench, writes Kevin Pelton. Brilliant picks (Insider)

"Jarrod's got mid-range ability, he can handle & pass the ball & he's a really good shot blocker with blocking perimeter shots." - Jay Bilas

Villanova takes down Iowa with ease

No. 2 seed Villanova had a comfortable lead all game and beat 7-seed Iowa 87-68 behind four of the five starters' double-digit efforts. Villanova will face 3-seed Miami in the Sweet 16. Box score

Jeff Borzello ESPN Staff Writer

Villanova hasn't scored in over three and a half minutes and Iowa is on a 13-2 run -- but the Wildcats' lead is still at 24. Iowa has been taking care of the ball better and Villanova's shots aren't falling, but this is still a wide margin. Iowa not going down without a second-half effort, though.
