Josh Pastner has been looking for a way out of Memphis but wasn't going to leave money on the table. He would have gone to TCU. He will land better at Georgia Tech once this is official, which I agree @GoodmanESPN will be later today.
They've all won big games, but still land on our list of the best college basketball and football head coaches who have never won a national title.
Jamie Dixon was introduced as the new coach at his alma mater, TCU, on Tuesday and said "it was the right time" to move on from Pitt, where he led the Panthers to a 328-123 record in 13 seasons.
Jamie Dixon headed to TCU
The Pittsburgh coach, who took the Panthers to the NCAA tournament 11 times in 13 seasons, will become the new head basketball coach at his alma mater. Dixon, who played for TCU from 1984-87, will replace Trent Johnson, who was fired last week. Story
TCU has agreed to a deal with Pittsburgh coach Jamie Dixon to become the Horned Frogs' new basketball coach.
TCU fires head coach Trent Johnson
Johnson confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Goodman that he has been fired after four seasons with the Horned Frogs. Johnson, 59, entered the season at 38-58 overall and a 6-48 mark in Big 12 play. The team was 12-21 this past season and 2-16 in conference.
TCU has fired head coach Trent Johnson after four seasons. The Horned Frogs went 12-21 in 2015-16 and were 2-16 in Big 12 play.
Devin Williams had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead a West Virginia attack, and the No. 9 Mountaineers never trailed in an 86-66 victory over TCU in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 Tournament.
No. 9 West Virginia rolls past TCU
The Mountaineers shot 55.6% from the field and got 18 points from Devin Williams and 15 points from Jevon Carter in the 86-66 win over the Horned Frogs to reach the semifinals of the Big 12 tournament. Box score
Tarik Phillip with the circus finish
Just about everything West Virginia threw up in its blowout of TCU went in. And here's proof.

West Virginia shooting 54 percent from the field today. Forced 14 turnovers. Made 45 percent of their 3s so far.
Press Virginia making its mark early
The Mountaineers' signature full-court press forced a TCU turnover, which led to a West Virginia dunk and an early 12-point lead. (Live on ESPNU)
Watch: TCU has upset on mind again
The Horned Frogs (2-16 in the Big 12's regular season) handed Texas Tech a first-round loss in the conference tournament last night. Next up? No. 9 West Virginia. Live on ESPNU, WatchESPN
Will Horned Frogs cover the spread?
TCU won't be pulling the upset tonight over West Virginia, however, covering the spread shouldn't be too difficult. The Mountaineers are not playing with as much urgency, so the Horned Frogs should be able to stay within 14.5 points. CBB betting guide
Big 12 tourney heats up on Thursday

TCU guard posterizes 2 Red Raiders
Don't be fooled by Chauncey Collins' 6-foot frame; he will put you on a poster if he wants.
Chauncey Collins scored 19 points, and No. 10 seed TCU dealt a major blow to Texas Tech's NCAA Tournament hopes with a 67-62 victory in the first round of the Big 12 tournament.
