Onuaku to leave L'ville early, stay in draft pool

Louisville's Chinanu Onuaku, who recently underwent a medical procedure to correct a heart rhythm issue detected during the combine, will keep his name in the NBA draft pool.

Louisville's Onuaku to undergo heart procedure

Louisville sophomore Chinanu Onuaku says he will have a "minor" procedure to correct a heart arrhythmia which was detected during last week's NBA Draft combine in Chicago.

University of Louisville announces big man Chinanu Onuaku will have a medical procedure done in Chicago today to correct a heart rhythm issue known as Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome. Onuaku considered a potential late first-rounder who hasn't hired agent yet.

Report: Onuaku undecided for draft

Though Louisville sophomore Chinanu Onuaku had a strong showing at the NBA combine, he remains torn about whether to return to college or hire an agent and focus on the NBA draft, reports Jeff Greer. "It's how I feel. If I feel like I'm ready, and I feel like the teams in the NBA are going to pick me, then I'm going to go," Onuaku said. The Courier-Journal
