From Louisville on more self-imposed sanctions: Reducing by two the number of scholarships awarded in men's basketball, (one in 2017-18, and one in 2018-19). Reducing recruiting opportunities immediately in men's basketball (days coaching staff may recruit) by 30 (approximately a 24% reduction); and Reducing official visits in men's basketball by two (one in 2016-17, and one in 2017-18).
Louisville to self-impose more penalties
The Louisville men's basketball team will self-impose more penalties in connection to the ongoing investigation of a sex scandal, a source told ESPN's Dana O'Neil. The team will lose two scholarships, one in 2017-18 and one in 2018-19, coaches will be docked 30 recruiting days and the program will reduce the number of official visits it offers to recruits by two. Less than 24 hours after the thrilling finish to the 2015-2016 NCAA men's basketball season, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook posted its future-book odds for the 2016-17 season with the Duke Blue Devils as the 9-2 favorites. Kentucky is the second choice at 6-1 with defending champion Villanova at 8-1.
