League fines more than 40 players, coaches

RICHMOND, Va. -- Richmond Braves outfielder Esix Snead was
suspended for 10 games and fined an undisclosed amount Thursday by
the International League for sparking a brawl in a game between the
Braves and Syracuse.

Braves manager Pat Kelly was also suspended for one game and
fined, and 20 members of the Braves were fined for their roles in
the brawl.

Twenty SkyChiefs players and a coach were fined on Wednesday.

Snead, who charged and then pummeled Syracuse pitcher David Bush
in the second inning Monday after Bush threw a pitch that went
between Snead's legs, sat out the series finale between the teams
on Tuesday and has nine games left to serve on the ban.
