The Ripken Farewell Tour

OK, so we've known for about a week that Cal Ripken will be retiring at the end of the season, but now it's time for the Ripken Farewell Tour to officially start, well, touring.

Cal Ripken
Nothing will be as special as 1995, but Ripken will be slapping a lot of hands the summer, too.
The Tour will hit two cities this week, but Toronto really doesn't count since the Orioles and Ripken will be heading to the SkyDome two more times before the season's over. But when the O's roll into Comiskey for a three-game series this weekend, the good people of Chicago can be the first to say goodbye to Ripken.

Before it's done, the Tour will hit 12 different cities for a total of 48 games (worked around 40 more scheduled home dates, of course), finally winding up in New York in the final series of the season.

When you've put up numbers like Ripken's, there isn't a team that something special hasn't happened against -- whether it's obvious (Game 2,131 against the Angels) or a little more obscure (club-record six hits against the Braves).

Before the caravan starts rolling, let's take a look at what Ripken's done against the teams and in the cities where he'll be making his 12 stops.
