Moving day: Tigers trade Price to Blue Jays

The Detroit Tigers have traded left-hander David Price to the Toronto Blue Jays for left-handers Daniel Norris, Matt Boyd and Jairo Labourt, the teams announced.

Papelbon gets first Nationals save

Newly-acquired closer Jonathan Papelbon worked a 1-2-3 ninth today vs. the Marlins, to notch his 18th save of the season, but first with Washington. Former closer Drew Storen worked the eighth inning.

Zim's HR, Scherzer's arm get Nats win

Ryan Zimmerman accounted for the game's only run with his first HR since May 19, and Max Scherzer turned in 7 shutout innings as the Nationals beat Miami 1-0. Box score


Dodgers-Marlins-Braves trade complete

The three-way trade, according to ESPN's Jim Bowden and multiple reports, is headlined by the Dodgers acquiring SP Alex Wood (via Atlanta), SP Mat Latos and OF Michael Morse (both via Miami); the Braves receiving Cuban INF prospect Hector Olivera (via L.A.); and the Marlins getting 3 prospects.
