Have a night, Adam Lind. The Mariners first baseman has been struggling all season but just hit his second home run of the game and fifth of 2016, a long three-run blast to right field. Tough first major league start for Zach Neal as the Mariners plated six runs in the third.

An MRI on Mark Teixeira's neck did not show any new issues. Yankees manager Joe Girardi indicated that Teixeira could have cortisone shots for the spasms. Teixeira is expected to miss a few games, but Girardi indicated that he didn't anticipate a DL stint yet. Teixeira missed tonight's loss to the Blue Jays.

Matz earning place in Mets history
