White Sox manager Robin Ventura said Chris Sale will not start tmrw, but that he does expect him to be available at some point during the upcoming series against the Chicago Cubs. Ventura hasn't spoken to him since incident and admitted that he may have some bridges to mend but said that's do-able and that Sale remains a respected leader. The idea of flipping closer Aroldis Chapman has been in play since the Yankees acquired him from the Reds at a discount price this winter due to his domestic violence/gun incident. GM Brian Cashman felt like the price point had dropped where it was too good to pass up. By Aug. 1 and perhaps much earlier, Chapman is expected to be an ex-Yankee and Cashman is in position to receive better prospects than the four middling ones he gave to the Reds.

Why is Michael Conforto in center field on Sunday? Said manager Terry Collins: "If we don' play him in center field, we don't have anywhere to play him." Yoenis Cespedes is being restricted to left field and Curtis Granderson doesn't have the range to handle center field.
