Report: Joaquin Benoit to Padres
SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Padres have reached a two-year, $15.5 million agreement with former Detroit Tigers closer Joaquin Benoit, a person familiar with the situation told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal is pending on Benoit passing a physical.
