Pedro Florimon likely out 2 weeks

Minnesota Twins shortstop Pedro Florimon was scheduled to undergo an appendectomy on Monday afternoon after complaining of stomach pain during the night.

Because the procedure was to be done via laparoscopy, Florimon might miss only two weeks before resuming baseball activities.

"We'll see how that goes, but it sounds like it's going to be arthroscopic, so hopefully he'll only be a couple weeks before he's back doing some things," Twins assistant general manager Rob Antony told MLB.com. ...
