Rangers acquire Donnie Murphy
ARLINGTON, Texas -- In need of infield depth in light of Jurickson Profar's expected absence of 10 to 12 weeks, the Texas Rangers claimed Donnie Murphy off waivers from the Chicago Cubs, the infielder confirmed via text message Wednesday.
It's likely the deal hasn't been announced because the Rangers need to figure out a corresponding roster move before adding Murphy.
