No small feat: Schedule sold out for first time
BOSTON -- The Red Sox have sold out their entire 81-game home schedule for the first time in franchise history.
The team said Wednesday it sold off the final scattered singles, standing-room only tickets and obstructed view seats, all of which are usually reserved for game-day sales.
If all 81 scheduled home games are played, the Red Sox will surpass 2.8 million in home attendance, setting a club record for the fifth consecutive season.
