Mets agree to contract terms with playoff hero Perez

NEW YORK -- Postseason savior Oliver Perez and the New York Mets agreed Friday to a one-year contract worth $2,325,000.

Acquired July 31 from Pittsburgh with reliever Roberto Hernandez for Xavier Nady, Perez was 1-3 with a 6.38 ERA in seven regular-season starts with the Mets and 3-13 with a 6.55 ERA in 22 major league starts overall.
