Mets' Lo Duca suspended, fined for epic tirade
NEW YORK -- Mets catcher Paul Lo Duca was suspended for two games and fined $2,000 on Monday following a weekend tantrum aimed at umpire Marvin Hudson.
Lo Duca appealed the penalty and cannot be disciplined until after a hearing is held. He started Monday against St. Louis and went 0-for-4.
"Hopefully, I can get it down to one game," he said. "I expected a suspension. Maybe not two days."
