Arizona's Hudson to undergo MRI exam for sprained left thumb
PHOENIX -- Arizona second baseman Orlando Hudson has a sprained left thumb and will undergo an MRI exam on Thursday.
Hudson went 1-for-4 with a triple in the Diamondbacks' 9-6 victory over San Diego on Wednesday night, but he left the game after seven innings. Arizona manager Bob Melvin said the injury occurred on a slide into third base one night earlier.
