Surprise year lands Tatis one year, $1.7 million deal with Mets
NEW YORK -- Fernando Tatis agreed to a $1.7 million, one-year deal with the New York Mets on Thursday, opting to stay put after a solid comeback season.
Tatis, who hit .297 with 11 homers and 47 RBIs in 92 games, made $550,000 this season. He had been eligible for free agency.
