Sources: Damon wants same salary

There is no movement in the talks between free agent outfielder Johnny Damon and the New York Yankees, major league sources tell ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney.

Damon wants $13 million a year, his salary on his recently expired contract, and has indicated to the Yankees, through a conduit, that he doesn't even want them making an offer if they're going to propose less.

If the Yankees are unable to re-sign Damon, they are likely to look at free agent Mark DeRosa as an option, ...
