Turnbow, Marlins reach deal

Former Milwaukee Brewers closer Derrick Turnbow has reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Florida Marlins.

Turnbow saved 63 games for the Brewers in the 2005-2006 seasons, but has been limited to a total of 30 2/3 innings in the majors and minors combined the past two seasons because of shoulder trouble. He recently auditioned for teams in Arizona and clocked better than 93 mph on the radar gun.
