The All-Star wasn't caught stealing once in 2009; so in 2010, he should not run more

The Setup

Last year, Chase Utley of the Philadelphia Phillies stole 23 bases; it was a career high for the All-Star.

More remarkable? Utley was not caught stealing once all season. A perfect season on the basepaths is a rare accomplishment, but it practically begs the question: "Why didn't Utley try to steal more bases?"

This seems weird. Utley is perfect at something, and we're saying he shouldn't do it more -- and maybe he should do it less? How can this be defended? Let's see what BP has to say. And if you're not an Insider, become one.
