Agent says surgeon, team talked

Agent Scott Boras denied a claim Thursday that the Washington Nationals had not been in recent contact with the surgeon who performed Tommy John surgery on Stephen Strasburg, according to a report in the Washington Post.

Dr. Lewis Yocum previously told the Los Angeles Times that Nats general manager Mike Rizzo never asked him about the decision to shut down Strasburg this year.
