ARLINGTON, Texas -- Rangers closer Joe Nathan put his hands on his head and looked down in disgust while the ball rolled to the wall. He covered his face with a towel after getting back to the dugout.

There would be no champagne showers in Texas on Sunday.

Nathan gave up a two-run double to Torii Hunter with two outs in the ninth inning as the wild-card hopeful Los Angeles Angels rallied for 5-4 victory in the opener of a day-night doubleheader.
