Roy Halladay has shoulder surgery
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay could begin a throwing program in six to eight weeks after undergoing right shoulder surgery, the team announced.
The Phillies said Halladay had an arthroscopic evaluation and underwent debridement of his labrum and rotator cuff as well as removal of an inflamed bursa on Wednesday. If all goes well and Halladay is able to start his throwing program on time, it's likely he'll be sidelined until at least after the All-Star break.
