Marco Scutaro out indefinitely

PITTSBURGH -- San Francisco Giants second baseman Marco Scutaro is out indefinitely with an injury to the pinkie finger on his left hand.

The finger took a direct hit from a fastball by Pittsburgh's Tony Watson while batting in the seventh inning of an 8-2 loss on Tuesday night. X-rays were negative. Scutaro said Wednesday he has some ligament damage near the tip of the finger. He was replaced in the lineup by Tony Abreu.
